PET MEMORIALS THAT CAN HELP WITH PET LOSS
There are several ways that a person can remember their pet and keep their memory alive, help others with their pets and simply know your pet didn’t die in vain.
- Your vet may have a fund that you can donate in your pet’s memory which will not only keep your pet’s memory alive for yourself but will help other pet’s keep going if they are in need of a operation or care that otherwise would not have been affordable. You know you will at least help someone with their pet.
- You can always give to a special cause as well in your pet’s name.
- If you know a lot of people who have lost their pet and going through what you are going through, perhaps live alone and have no one to turn to for support then this would be a good time to start a Pet Loss Support Group.
- You can always suggest as a group volunteering your time at the humane society therefore you will also be supporting each other, helping the human society and helping pets at the same time.
- You can always plant a bush, shrub in a favour place your pet loved to lie, where your pet’s ashes , body are buried. You can also set up a bench with a plaque with your pet’s name on it .
- You can let others know you r pet has passed on by putting a special ad in the paper, sending cards with your pet’s photograph in to the people who were close to it.
- You can keep your pet’s tags and place them on your key rink so you will always have your pet’s memory with you. Your pet’s ashes or some of their ashes can be kept in a locket for your memory so they will reassure you they are close by.
Always keep in mind this way of expressing your love for your pet is normal and helping out others going through the same loss will build not only support for you but others as well. All these ideas reach out and aid pets, their owners and future lives of both to come.
